The existing Tector and Cursor Euro V EEV engines, already recognized by the industry for their reliability, performance and reduced fuel consumption, will give way to the new Tector 7 and Cursor 9 Euro VI engines with increased displacement (Tector from 5.9 to 6.7 liters and Cursor from 7.8 to 8.7 liters). These engines guarantee more power and more torque with lower fuel consumption.

In contrast to the Cursor 8, the Cursor 9 Euro VI engine is equipped with the latest generation of common rail injection mounted under the valve cover. This exclusive solution from FPT Industrial allows significant noise reduction inside the vehicle.

The new Cursor and Tector engines use an optimized aftertreatment and combustion system. The focus is on high injection nozzle and cylinder pressures. To achieve this, Iveco engineers have made important modifications to the cylinder heads and crankcase, giving them more extensive coolant transfer and a more rigid structure, thus increasing their capacity. 
The upgraded engines are equipped with the latest generation of multi-stage injection collective manifold systems capable of delivering up to 2200 bar of boost pressure.
